When Rains Pause Your Plans
Once, in a little village, everyone was rushing. Farmers hurried to the fields, children to school, traders to the market. Life was a constant race, each day blending into the next.
One afternoon, dark clouds gathered, and the skies opened wide. The rain poured so heavily that the paths turned to streams, the fields into small lakes. Carts stopped moving, shops closed their shutters, and children could no longer run about. Life stood still.
At first, the villagers sighed. “Our work is halted, our plans are ruined.” But as the hours passed, something changed. Families gathered on verandas, sipping hot tea. Children laughed, splashing in puddles. Neighbors who hadn’t spoken in weeks shared stories while waiting for the rain to pass. The farmers smiled, knowing their crops were drinking deeply.
In that pause, they discovered something they had forgotten: the joy of being, not just doing. The rain had not stopped their lives—it had slowed them down so they could see what truly mattered.
Life’s beauty is not found in the speed of the journey, but in the pauses along the way.
