SUFI PEACE
Sufi Peace was a beautiful celebration of discovering Peace, the Sufi way. Usually, we put date stamps on our celebrations — but this time, we we just went with the flow whirling towards the Divine in true Sufi style. We celebrated Sufi Peace for 2 days: 28 & 29 August 2025.
SOME RUMI REFLECTIONS
The Sage battles his own ego. The fool battles everyone else's.
If you travel within, you'll travel the whole world wide and beyond.
The soul's only desire is reunion. It aches from the place it was torn from.
If you are irritated by every rub, how will your soul be polished?
"No mirror ever became iron again; no bread ever became wheat; no ripened grape ever became sour fruit. Mature yourself and be secure from a change for the worse. Become the light." - Rumi
God is Always Watching
Once, in India, a Sufi murshid (teacher) gathered his students and said, “Times have changed. Until now, we have lived only on alms, freely given. But the days are harder now. So I must ask you to change your ways. Go out and take something — steal if you must. There is only one condition: do it when no one is watching.”
The students went out. By evening they returned — one with a chicken, another with a purse, others with coins or bread. But one student returned empty-handed.
The murshid looked at him sternly: “I gave you clear instructions — to bring back something taken in secret. Why have you returned with nothing?”
The student bowed and answered, “Master, I tried. But whereever I turned, God was looking everywhere.”
At this, the murshid smiled and said, “You are the only one who has truly understood my command.”
