Israel & Syria’s Peace Deal - Biblical Caution from 1 Kings 22

Today, when I opened the Bible, the page title read “Israel and Syria at Peace” (1 Kings 22:1). Incidentally, Israel and Syria, are currently exploring a fragile peace through a security deal.
In the Bible, after cycles of conflict, Syria and Israel experienced a temporary peace for three years, which ended when King Ahab ignored prophetic warnings and went to war, leading to his downfall.
Similarly, the current security talks aim not at full reconciliation, but at reducing conflict and ensuring security.
The biblical message for Israel is clear: Be careful as Peace built on convenience can collapse. Lasting Peace is rooted in justice and humility.
Today's Prophetic Message for Israel

In today's meditation my Bible opened to Ezekiel 2:3–5 – another prophetic verse for Israel at the moment.
“And he said to me, “Son of man, I send you to the people of Israel, to nations of rebels, who have rebelled against me. They and their fathers have transgressed against me to this very day. The descendants also are impudent and stubborn:
I send you to them, and you shall say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God.’ And whether they hear or refuse to hear (for they are a rebellious house) they will know that a prophet has been among them.

The Biblical message I received today for Benjamin as I opened the Bible was Numbers 18:20 says: “You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any portion among them; I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of Israel.”

Biblical Warning for Benjamin

Benjamin, you warned the people of Gaza to flee. Yet today, as I opened the Bible, for guidance, the page opened up to Jeremiah chapter 5 title: Warning to Benjamin.
On that same page, Jeremiah tells the people to flee because an army is coming to destroy. How striking!
God’s message is not only to those who suffer, but to those who hold power.
The greater warning is to turn away from relentless force and move towards peace, compassion, and trust in God’s greater plan.

An Open Letter to Benjamin Netanyahu

Mr. Benjamin,
You sought to “finish” Hamas through an all-out campaign of bloodshed, forgetting that God has never been dependent on force for victory.
The walls of Jericho fell to the sound of trumpets. Gideon’s tiny band overcame a vast army through confusion and light. Israel crossed the Red Sea without raising a sword.
True deliverance does not come through armies or weapons, but through God’s Spirit: “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord of Hosts” (Zechariah 4:6). Read more
