The Great Light has to be approached with reverence
The Sun is more than a ball of hot gas in space. If all of creation consist of the divine spark, imagine the scale & magnitude of divine light that the sun carries!
What science measures as thermal nuclear fusion, plasma, and solar winds are the physical outer garments of a far higher spiritual force.
The Sun is the most magnificent expression of God's creative power before our eyes. It has such pure, concentrated energy that our dense physical bodies cannot withstand the full, direct power of the Sun at its peak.
When we gaze at the Sun at sunrise or sunset we are permitted a direct visual doorway into its splendor.
Science seeks to master the knowledge of sun through observation, analysis, and measurement.
However, reverence seeks union through honor and stillness. Without reverence, intellect becomes detached from the living sanctity of creation.
The sun shines on all – good and evil. It stands as eternal lesson in pure, unconditional divine grace.
All of us are light in temporary human form. Approaching the Great Light with reverence allows us to receive its warmth without being consumed by its fire.
