A three-day beautiful journey of tapping into the fullness of joy.
Life is not rosy for anybody on this planet. Since we are here for a short time, let's make this stay as cheerful as possible.
After all we all have to go back to our permanent home in the spirit world - which is full of love, peace and bliss.
So, tap into joys as often as you can. Find little reasons to smile, laugh, celebrate and enjoy. And before you know it, you have sailed through this incarnation.
The joy of ordinary daily chores.
The joy of singing without music.
The joy of looking forward to the unknown.
Joy is not about romanticizing or over hyping happiness. It is about recognizing those tiny little bright moments the universe lines up for us.
What is Joy?
Joy is not about having fun, going berserk or faking your happiness. Because when the temporary fun fades away, you come back to yourself and have to confront your hurts.
Joy is about sitting quietly with whatever life has handed you, and yet not becoming bitter or miserable.
It's about looking at the grey skies and still being able to break into a smile when you see a patch of blue sky & white fluffy clouds.
Quiet joy is that relaxed feeling when you sit with a cup of your favourite beverage after your chores/work are done.
Joy is that spontaneous burst of laughter when you see or hear something really funny.
All these tiny things don’t shift your reality; they only shift your moment. And maybe that's what matters in the long run since life is ultimately lived from moment to moment!
Babies & kids are experts at producing joy out of thin air
They don't need a reason to be joyful. A funny sound, a puddle, a spoon, — almost anything can become a source of delight for babies and kids who are experts at producing joy out of thin air.
Maybe, we can learn from them!
God dwells in a place of Joy
The Zohar teaches that the Divine Presence does not dwell in a place of sadness, but in a place of joy. If a place has no joy, God does not abide there. — Zohar, Vayeshev 29
In all my meditation messages, one message keeps coming again and again, and that is:
Be happy. Enjoy yourself. Smile.
Perhaps this is why the message is repeated so strongly. God cannot indwell in a person filled with sadness. When we are joyful, it helps us stay connected to the Creator even when life is difficult.
From Joy (Ananda) all beings are born,
by Joy they are sustained,
to Joy they return & into Joy
they enter. Taittiriya Upanishad (3.6.1)
